The code breaker who saved millions Intro: On September 3rd of 1939, four countries declared war on Germany, France, Australia, New Zealand, and Britain. That was the beginning of WWII for Britain. One important role they played in the war was the decryption of the Enigma code. The enigma code was first discovered by the Polish who shared the information with the British and the French when they were in fear of attack. When the Polish shared their information with the British about the Enigma, they joined forces and created the Government Code and Cypher School (GC&CS).…

I am able to get involved in class and get one on one time if I don't get something that we are going over. Every teacher makes sure to tell me that there office hours and where to find them if not in the classroom. Personally it helps not having to much people in the class to interrupt the teacher and the teacher has more time to lecture about the topic. And with smaller classes I get to meet people and get to know them better as well as we get to share ideas as a ground and get to discuss things more closely.…
Before I begin my essay, I would like to state that I am truly grateful of having the opportunity of joining the AP Capstone Scholars Program. To begin, I would like to join the AP Capstone Scholars Program because of the many benefits it offers. I know that the program will provide me with the essential knowledge and skills that I need to succeed further on into my future: and to be quite frank, that is important to me and why I care about this program. Growing up, I never was the kid to try hard.…
I have chosen the Come Back Kids (CBK) program for countless reasons. I have been in the program in the previous year and now I am returning to graduate. I have felt and still feel as if this could be a major opportunity and a huge step into a better future. But the essential reasons of my interest in the program have a bigger impact. With these goals and interests in mind, I believe I’ll be ready to take the program head on.…
Ever since I played T-ball, I have always been the skinniest kid on all my sports teams. Being unusually underweight really upset me. I tried everything from eating protein-packed foods to daily weightlifting, but nothing seemed to work. Even some of my friends called me the “Twig.”…
I knew before I applied to Liberty University that I wanted to be a part of the Honors Program. After attending a question and answer session regarding the program last year, the Honors Program seemed to be a place where I could challenge myself in my courses and make life-long friends along the way. The environment seemed warm and accepting, yet also competitive and encouraging. After learning about all the Honors Program has to offer, I know it will be a wonderful fit for me during my time at Liberty University. One of the greatest benefits I hope to gain from the Honors Program at Liberty University is an excellent education that aligns with my faith.…
I believe that the University of Georgia Honors Program would open up countless doors for me throughout my UGA career, and it would allow me to thrive and contribute to a smaller environment of more dedicated and passionate students. Coming from a small, very academically advanced private school, I am very familiar with and fond of this type of environment. I also believe that my high school experience, in such a unique and diverse school, would allow me to contribute greatly to the honors community. The Honors Program’s access to smaller class sizes would allow me to be in closer contact with my teachers, something that I benefited from greatly in high school.…
I am Hersimranjit Kaur Gill, currently an international student at Richland College. I am applying for honors society because I think I want to make my education more fruitful for me. However, the unescapable problems that come with reducing class sizes are a major concern. Some teachers believe that students, particularly those in primary grades (k-6), would benefit most from a class size reduction. Studies have revealed that smaller classes are better for both the student and teacher in both scholastic and social skills. It is apparent that our country is interested in improving schools and the reduction of class sizes is one way they are tracking. States are considering the opportunities that reduction of class sizes will have on their students.…
I believe that University of Alabama’s Early College program will help me achieve my college goals because it will give me a taste of what is to come and preparation for the future. Over the years, I've become very interested in the medical field and I would like to become a pediatric surgeon. As you may already know, pursuing this career requires almost a decade of education in and out of the classroom. This is an excellent way to take as many college classes in high school as I can so I can enjoy college and have an easier experience once enrolled as a full-time student. If I was to be accepted into this prestigious program I would work to the best of my abilities to be successful.…

One of the main reasons I want to join the Honors Program is the unique opportunity it offers for academic excellence. It literally places a demand on you to be excellent and gives you the help you need to keep up. Academic excellence as I know it is a key that helps one open doors in future careers. It is the first step towards getting the desired post-graduate spot or dream job. The very requirement for being considered for the program says it all –a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 out of the possible four points.…
As a student, I am constantly devoted towards perfecting my assignments as much as possible before turning them in. I believe that being a part of the Honors College will help me to further develop identity as student. In addition to driving towards academic excellence, I aim to continue to remain dedicated and passionate towards causes that hold special significance to me. Throughout my sophomore year, I helped to lead a team of volunteers in assisting the homeless community at Dupage…
Whenever you are in the decision-making process, you should look at how large or minor the school is and how big the classes would be. Therefore, it is also virtuous to know how many people would be in the class and think would you be comfortable.…
