Why should someone apart of a minority group spend years analyzing Shakespeare when they could be providing much needed financial aid for their family at a young age? Accounting for all of this, when someone of African American or Hispanic descent actually manages to graduate from high school and move onto higher level education, they are either shunned by their community for breaking societal roles or are not accepted and integrated properly into the workforce, even if they spent twice the effort to enter it in the first place. A rose growing from concrete is virtually unheard of but Tupac raises the question, would anyone even care if a rose grew from concrete? Would anyone care if someone broke their societal roles and tried to work towards an honest working life? It makes me sad that the United States political and economic system is set up in this way, intentionally making it extremely difficult for people to break through the poverty
