Tupac Shakur's Biggest Mysteries In Hip-Hop Culture

Improved Essays
One of the biggest mysteries in Hip-Hop culture, Tupac Shakur’s “death”. Many people feel as though he’s gone, but a lot of people also believe that he is well alive hidden. Why would Tupac Shakur fake his death, if he did so? One of the most talented rappers in Hip-Hop. He had the fame, the money, and the lifestyle. Why would he want to give all that up? was it too much for him? Let's start from the beginning of how “2Pac” became known. Born June 16th, 1971 in New York by his mother Afeni Shakur. Tupac was raised in Harlem but moved to Baltimore. Tupac was raised under the Black Panther philosophy. His mother was a music business woman, so music was in his blood. Tupac and his family moved to California where he became a backup dancer …show more content…
Many believe that he's well alive in Cuba with his aunt, but lots believe he's actually gone. There are many facts saying that Tupac is alive. Tupac was “killed” in a Cadillac, driving with his friend Suge Knight. Tupac “killers” recently cleared up Mr. Knight’s involvement with Tupac’s apparent death. “In a noncertified letter, he tells how he was 'told to take Knight out’ a reference to Death Row Records boss Suge Knight” (Confession letter names rapper killer). There's even a video out of Suge Knight saying Tupac is alive. The letter points fingers at security Chief Reggie Wright Jr (Confession letter names rapper …show more content…
2Pac got shot on September 7th, but it took him 7 days to pass away. Tupac died at 4:03 PM. Four plus three equals seven (TUPAC 7 day theory). There's a lot of math and numbers following this theory. Another one was Tupac's age. He was 25 when he died, two plus five equals what? Yup, you guessed it, seven (TUPAC 7 day theory). Many people believe this theory. If Tupac really did die, they would've put that in his last album, but they didn't. Isn’t that weird? The only thing mentioned is "EXIT TUPAC ENTER MAKAVELI" (TUPAC 7 day theory). Including the fact that Makaveli was a person that faked his death, also knowing the fact that 2Pac was studying this guy, and even changing his name to Makaveli. Isn't that strange? Now knowing all these theories and facts, do you think Tupac alive? Is Suge Knight telling the truth or is he just wanting attention? If Tupac is alive do you think he will come out of hiding? So many questions that will probably never be answered. Tupac will always live through people around the world. His words will still inspire people, and his music will still move the people. Tupac Shakur will always be a Hip-Hop

Jenee Desmond – Harris wrote an article called “Tupac and My Non-thug Life,” which was published in an online article called The Root. The title of this article seems very contradictory and that is because it is. This article is about how Desmond – Harris, as a young privileged half white, half black teenage girl, finds herself trying to embody Tupac after his death. The contradiction of this is that Desmond-Harris did not relate to Tupac in the ways of how they grew up. Desmond – Harris had yet to confront any of life’s hard edges when Tupac had passed.…
