Peace and good will are very meaningful to me and I hope they mean a lot to other people as well because as we progress in life, it will get harder to influence people to better themselves and promote peace and good will. We must come together as people did back in the day and find a solution to our peace and good will problem. As you can see throughout this essay, I take peace and good will very seriously and I will not rest until everyone I come in contact with has had a little taste of peace and good will in their life, and they can go out and help other people get through tough situations.…

As I read Michelle Malkin’s article, it got me thinking. Will finding books or poems of interest of the younger generation actually benefit the students in school? Malkin argues that choosing Tupac Shakur’s work instead of the sonnets of Shakespeare is a terrible mistake. She criticizes Tupac giving him a name such as, “the drug-dealing, baseball bat-wielding, cop-hating, Black Panthers-worshiping, convicted sexual abuser who made a fortune extolling the "thug life".” Her opinion is rather harsh as she defines him and believes that students should not be learning about this terrible person.…

Jenee Desmond – Harris wrote an article called “Tupac and My Non-thug Life,” which was published in an online article called The Root. The title of this article seems very contradictory and that is because it is. This article is about how Desmond – Harris, as a young privileged half white, half black teenage girl, finds herself trying to embody Tupac after his death. The contradiction of this is that Desmond-Harris did not relate to Tupac in the ways of how they grew up. Desmond – Harris had yet to confront any of life’s hard edges when Tupac had passed.…
