Have you listened to rap? I'm pretty sure a few of your favorite songs are rap.Rap was a big art movement in the Bronx,New York in the 1970s.Rap was originally created for african americans and latinos in the 1960s,most of the songs would talk about drugs and violence.But around 1970s that changed,younger people started making their own rap and giving themselves an identity and letting out their thoughts. It created a strong dynamic between communities and allowed people to come together and express their creativity through music.Music had a positive effect in communities because it gave a voice to unfortunate youth.The birth of hip hop allowed the youth to come together and express their creativity with music,dances,fashion and poetry.

Hip hop before had a big influence on today's society.Not every song is going to sound the same, different cultures add their own twists to the music they create. Hip hop music shaped today's society by creating different fashion senses and also new music that is being created today.it also shaped today's dances,like on tiktok most songs people dance to are rap songs but back in 1990s people would break dance.It was famous before and still is people add their own techniques into it.Music from before had positive and negative effects on society.People would do graffiti almost everywhere,they would tag their names or just lyrics they liked on walls.But it also had positive effects people would use rap as a way of coping with
