If you can't find something to live for, you best find something to die for. - tupac

This quote speaks volumes in my life. Even when you feel that you have nothing to live for keep digging because you might have something to die for. We are all put on this earth for a reason and I truly believe, what we do in this life matters in the next. With this new year I plan on living life to the fullest because I would rather have a meaningful life then a boring one. I want to die knowing that I made an impact on someone's life.

When I was fourteen I had a cousin that passes away of a brain tumor. Through her death I found my purpose in life. I want to help others that have gone through the same experience. I haven't yet found out in what way I

At the peak of the West coast versus East coast beef many people on both ends began to feel a personal connection to the issue and for Jenee Desmond-Harris that was exactly the case. The situation between both rappers, Tupac and Biggie, brought out the violence within the African American community to the forefront and the influence it had upon many on both ends. The essay I decided to evaluate was “Tupac and My Non-thug Life” by Jenee Desmond-Harris. The article entails Ms. Desmond-Harris’s experience of hearing the news of late rapper Tupac Shakur’s death. Have you spent your life on things that make it worth living? Are you simply existing in this life or are you living in it? Anna Quindlen in her Commencement Address at Villanova College forces us to ask ourselves these questions as she leaves long lasting imprints in the minds of the attendees and graduates. Quindlen’s use of rhetorical devices, personal stories, and quotes helps her express her main points, that one must make their life worth living and that life should never be taken for granted because there are so many things to live for. Throughout Qundlen’s speech she uses all three of the appeals to create a connection with her audience.…

Russell A. Potter in “Tupac’s Posthumous Live Tour,” makes copious claims leading to his argument: that holographic concerts by dead artists such as, Tupac Shakur isn’t a bright idea due to the fact that their presentation on the platform wouldn’t be genuine and overall it wouldn’t “have the complexity, or the humanity, to really compel our interests. ” I disagree with Potter’s argument because a holographic concert by Tupac Shakur could potentially raise money for charity. For example, there was a holographic concert by Chief Keef on July 31st of this year, to raise money for a 13 year old boy who was run over by a car. Secondly, Tupac’s presence is kept alive and relevant. According to Rose Lilah, after Tupac’s appearance at Coachella, there…

There are times in life where a great tragedy may serve as a huge reminder of what is important in life. On November 5, 2011 my father passed away. I came home for the weekend to surprise my family and ended up receiving the surprise of a lifetime. After many attempts at numbing the pain I began to feel complacent and honestly quite lost. It took some time to realize that through that great tragedy, I had completely forgotten my purpose and even wonder if I knew my purpose before then.…

Tupac Shakur’s song “Changes.” This song delivers a pretty direct message about the need for a change in the world. The title alone gives that away, but the lyrics expose the speaker’s feelings as well as the problem that needs to be changed. Tupac directly talks about the problems with drugs and violence in our society. He addresses the factors of race and economic status in the song.…

Jenee Desmond – Harris wrote an article called “Tupac and My Non-thug Life,” which was published in an online article called The Root. The title of this article seems very contradictory and that is because it is. This article is about how Desmond – Harris, as a young privileged half white, half black teenage girl, finds herself trying to embody Tupac after his death. The contradiction of this is that Desmond-Harris did not relate to Tupac in the ways of how they grew up. Desmond – Harris had yet to confront any of life’s hard edges when Tupac had passed.…
