This is where he scored his very first hit, “The Humpty Dance.” One of his risks in his early career was leaving Digital Underground and going solo. He came out with “2Pacalypse” and it was a hit. Everyone wanted more. He delivered more and they became big hits as well. One of his failures was going to prison for 4 and ½ years on a sexual assault. I n prison, he continued to write more songs and when he was released, he released those songs as well.
While he was alive, Tupac recieved many awards. Some of the movies he acted in received awards. Many of his songs went multi platinum, and he received the Soul Train Music Award for the best rap album for “Me Against the World.” The album peaked #1 while he was in prison.
All throughout his career he had become embezzled within a feud between the East Coast and West Coast rappers. On his songs, he would insult his enemies. On a trip to Las Vegas, Shakur attended a boxing match. Shakur was shot multiple time riding in a car. He was rushed to the hospital and died on September 13, 1996. He was only 25.
