When it comes to losing weight, most people want to start with the fat on their stomach. This is a major source of frustration for the majority of dieters because it’s the most difficult to get rid of and it’s the most noticeable. If you’re trying to lose weight and want to get rid of tummy fat, then there are a lot of things you can do to make this happen. Keep reading and you’ll find out how to lose tummy fat.

1. Eat Fewer Carbohydrates:

Simple carbohydrates, like pasta, rice, bread or anything with flour, can cause you to have more fat on your body. This is because once carbohydrates hit your body, they spike your blood sugar, and that causes the insulin to release. When a lot of insulin is released, it results in fat being stored, which causes more fat to stay on your belly! You can certainly eat carbohydrates, but try to eat those that are complex, like broccoli or cauliflower.

Try to keep your carbohydrate intake under 100 grams per day, but 80 is optimal. This is pretty easy to do if you simply eat more greens and proteins, like fish or lean meats. You can use different apps on your phone to help you count, which can make it much easier to track your daily intake. Reduced carbohydrates can also mean less bloating, which will help you lose water weight so you look thinner

Sugar is one thing that you should avoid at all costs because it raises blood sugar and causes insulin spikes. It provides you with no nutritional value and it causes weight gain, so why eat it? There’s sugar in pretty much everything today, including salad dressings and bread, so you need to be aware of what you consume. Ensure that you read labels to see if there are added sugars so you can avoid products that have it in them. There are natural sweeteners, such as honey and agave nectar that you can use instead of sugar, so try them out! Not only can this help reduce your belly fat, it can also make you feel healthier
