Tulane: My Favorite City, New Orleans

Decent Essays
I am interested in attending Tulane for various reasons. One being that it is located in my favorite city, New Orleans. New Orleans is such a great city with so much to do and culture that is very rich. It is drenched in wonderful history and makes you feel like you are in a whole different country while being located right in the United States. I also love the climate of New Orleans. It being warm all year is a major plus for me. Tulane also is the perfect size with not too many and not two little students. I also really appreciate the 8:1 student to faculty ratio. I can definitely get the one on one learning I need to be able to succeed. In addition, I respect the community service requirement that Tulane requires in all students to graduate.

Coming from a small, very academically advanced private school, I am very familiar with and fond of this type of environment. I also believe that my high school experience, in such a unique and diverse school, would allow me to contribute greatly to the honors community. The Honors Program’s access to smaller class sizes would allow me to be in closer contact with my teachers, something that I benefited from greatly in high school.…

This is the case because no two people are alike, and this holds true for cultures as well. Diversity of an individual encompasses three different areas: invariability, variability, and influence. While invariable characteristics of a person tend to remain the same over one’s lifetime, variable characteristics and environmental influences vary throughout a lifetime.…
