A recent inquiry with human resources regarding tuition reimbursement revealed that DN, LLC does not currently have existing guidelines for processing employee tuition reimbursement requests. I am formally requesting tuition reimbursement for a course offered through Colorado State University: Global Campus in project management. This course serves as an introduction to an online degree program in project management that will:
• Further my professional development
• Develop essential skills critical to my role within the company.
Tuition costs for higher education have steadily been increasing, but the need for professional development is essential to the future of the company.

I chose an online degree program through Colorado State University Global Campus because of the affordability and convenience offered through online higher education. Online programs have become a popular alternative to traditional colleges, offering a wide variety of degree programs typically

Online courses help employees gain valuable time management skills and develop a work/school balance. Select programs offered online are offered in an accelerated format, condensing sixteen weeks of material into an eight week format. This accelerated format allows employees to complete their course work more quickly.

I understand the company may have concerns regarding the costs of financing their employees’ education, but tuition reimbursement provides benefits for employees and the company the work for. These benefits include:
• More productive employees as result of newly acquired skills
• Employees who are able to take on additional assignments
• Employees who can serve as leaders within the workplace
• Improved company image to attract qualified employees
• Tax breaks for employer contribution costs
• Loyal
