Would more adults be able to attend college if it was free? There is a majority of adults that do not go to college because of the continuing growing costs of college. If the fees are reduced, will this provide a chance for more adults to attend college? Do we want to have costs be the ultimate deciding factor of if we continue educating ourselves or not? Personally, I would not want this to be a deciding factor for myself, nor anyone I know. Why does education need to cost so much? How can adults go to college and get a degree to get a better job but cannot afford the cost of tuition. According to savingforcollege.com, the current average cost combined with two years at a community college and two years at a private college can cost $77,400. …show more content…
Finding time is big struggle that students can come across with trying to work a full time job and go to college. For example, I personally have had difficulties paying for college along with trying to find courses outside my work schedule. In addition to trying to manage the load of the classes along with working a full time job. In the beginning, the situation was a challenging road and a few times it caused me to lose motivation and I nearly gave up. Nevertheless, I continue to push on and I am grateful I did. The online classes that I have been able to find make it easier for me to complete my courses, as I can come home and accomplish my class requirements online. The cost of education matters to students because it can prevent them as well as future individuals from attending college. Most jobs now require a college education. Not providing solutions for future students could affect society, and unemployment will increase because the percentage of non-college educated adults would rise. This can cause another recession or even worse situations could arise from this issue of not being able to afford education. For the better of the future, Americans need to find solutions to this growing issue. Education is important and betters the individuals and
