Tuition Cost Analysis Towson University

The purpose of the project is to consider three four-year universities and to research which school is the best. However, this project is more valuable than simply choosing one of three; it trains the student how to research a topic and find its traits. Furthermore, it also allows the student to compare and contrast two or three excellent areas. Yet, most important of all, it shows how to solve a relevant issue that has an actual impact on the student. The first school I had considered was Towson University. In regards to their tuition costs for a full time semester comes to be $3,280 dollars (Towson University, Fall Semester). Furthermore, the commute is considerable since it takes approximately eighty minutes round trip and approximately sixty-two miles (Bing.com). This adds to the overall cost by considering the average price per gallon is $2.66 (AAA, MARYLAND FUEL PRICES) and brings a total round trip to cost $5.85. Furthermore, Towson University does not even offer Cyber Security as a Bachelor’s Degree (Towson, Undergraduate Programs). However, they are ranked number fifty-three in the nation (U.S. News, National Universities Rankings). In addition, the environmental factors of climate and it being urban would not change. …show more content…
Also the distance is similar to Towson; since it is fifty-nine miles and about eighty-eight minutes (Bing.com). By using the same method of the average cost per gallon of gas (AAA, MARYLAND FUEL PRICES), it would cost $5.68. In addition to costing less on gas, UMUC also offers a Cyber Security Degree (UMUC, BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN CYBER SECURITY). However, UMUC is not ranked like Towson.
