Tucker And Dale Vs. Evil: Movie Analysis

The Epic Adventures of Tucker and Dale
Tucker and Dale Vs Evil shows a horror movie in a funny way. It makes the death of innocent people rather funny, than sad. It not only makes fun of horror movies, but also hillbillies. This movie was both serious and funny at the same time. The movie line was not the best for a horror movie because it had more to it than that. This is would be a good movie to feature because it is exactly what you are looking for, a funny yet serious parody.
It shows the perspective of both sides. Generally the audience is only aware of one side. Knowing both sides of the story is what makes this movie good. By knowing that Tucker and Dale were only trying to help the kids rather than kill the kids, it made the movie interesting. When people think of college kids vs hillbillies they tend to lean more toward the college kids side because they are smart and more approachable. People expect hillbillies to be dumb and murderous. This movie shows a twist in expectations. The way this movie put the characters made them want to root for the hillbillies rather than the smart college kids.

One of the more serious parts was toward the end when Tucker told Dale that he was smarter than he gave himself credit for. It showed a scene between two best friends that was serious and loving at the same time. One of the most serious times was when Dale threw the axe towards Allie just as she was about to be cut in half. It was hard to predict if it was going to hit Allie or rope. Since it was a horror movie you could predict it would Allie, but it didn’t. That is what set this movie out from being just like any other movie. The characters you want to live stay alive, unlike normal horror movies. This is why Tucker and Dale Vs Evil is such a big hit. It can be serious, scary and funny and still be classified as a horror movie

In the movie Sling Blade, the main character is Karl, a developmentally disabled gentleman that has been in a state run psychiatric hospital for killing his mother and her lover when he was a young boy. The day of his release, he is interviewed by a college newspaper reporter, to which he recounts the brutal murder of his mother and her lover with a sling blade. He goes on to explain that he killed the man because he thought he was raping his mother, but when he figured out that was not the case, he killed his mother as well. When asked if he will kill again, his response is “I don’t reckon I got no reason to kill nobody. Mmm” (Bushell et al. & Thornton, 1997).…

Tucker and Dale vs Evil is massively likeable horror-comedy genre. Basically, the story tracks the ill-fated adventures of two hillbilly best friends Dale and Tucker, who bought a dilapidated house for their vacation, but encounter a group of dumb and boozed-up college kids camping in the woodland. The emphatic stuff emerges an enormous misunderstanding when the girl from group unfortunately fall to the rocks in a faint, two rednecks then take her back to the cabin and try to contact her friends, whereas the teenagers throw discredit upon them as Hannibal. In spite of tons of blood and violence variety, this film presenting hilarious points to the grisly and shocking kills with an entertaining way by accidentally kill themselves one by one…

It’s a good family movie that everyone can watch. The most annoying character was poppy because she was stubborn and she wouldn’t take no for an answer. For example, Branch warned her not to have the party because she can risk getting everyone caught and that exactly what happened but then she tried to apologize and ask for his help because she knew that he knew a little bit about the bergens. My favorite character is Branch because he was really the one troll who made a big impact in the movie. He was all sad and angry until the end of the movie until he had to step up and give everyone their color back because he didn’t want everyone to give up.…

I really enjoyed this film the characters were fun and so was the dialogue. The film almost remind me of 10 Things I Hate About You which was said to be based of a Shakespeare play The Taming of the Shrew, in which the leading lady was originally against marriage yet somehow was tricked into one. Jan is the shrew which is defined as an ill-tempered woman characterised by scolding and nagging and Brad is the man that tames her as his alter ego Rex. Rex represents everything Brad is not and that is the only reason why Jan fell in love with him. In my honest opinion, Brad is a creepy and I would not want go to his house of horrors for anything.…

INTRODUCTION The act of crime is brought about by breaking the law enforced by the government thus, there is violation of rights entitled to individuals and disruptions of well-being (Brown et al. 2013: 20). The whole discomfort and conflict in the movie never showed who is right and who is wrong. Usually, in any story, they show us both sides and end up telling us who’s the bad guy, but here the bad guy is everyone because each person is making assumption different from the other based on what their minds and past memories and experiences tell them what is right and what is wrong, but that does not actually show what is right and what is wrong. This makes the movie more interesting to give the audience an opinion and point of view, a way to let them think more and watch less. This is a very unique and genius movie.…

This film doesn’t follow by any of the cliche films it is so different from anything I have ever seen. This film is about a man (Daniel Plainview) who leaves with his ‘son’ , H.W., to find oil to mine. He lies and steals to find oil and make money. He is very self centered and will do whatever it takes to make money. Nobody will get in his way and if they do he will go to the extreme to get rid of them.…

Trading Places is a film that starred Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd. The film debut was in 1983, and it discussed topics of racism and classism. Using the plot line of a rich white person losing all his fortunes and living like an impoverished black person he then sees the era of his ways. He overcomes his opposition by teaming up with other unfortunate people to help reclaim his riches that he once had in the begging. The film shows us that even though we live in the modern era we still carry the racial stigmas that was placed on people by the many generations that came before us.…
