Try Out In High School

In freshman year of high school, I decided to try out for the freshman soccer team. I had not played for the middle school team but I had played for a club outside of school. Most of my teammates were also trying out so I decided that I should try out too. The first round of tryouts were two days long after school and the second round was one day. Out of the 34 kids that tried out, ten would be cut in the first round. On the first day of tryouts, we were doing all kinds of passing, shooting, running, and juggling drills, and I had felt like I was playing better than everybody else. On the second day, we were doing defense drills and penalty shots, and because I had felt like I had played well, I didn’t give it 100% effort. After the two tryouts,
