In the novella Anthem they have a devote “truth” that all of man should share the same
thoughts and have no other thing to do than that which helps all of his brothers. Equality
however goes against this thought process in every action he does in the novella, by

knows as long as they live in this feudalistic, communistic, totalitarian society they are
bound to never know the secrets of the world but only the lies of man. This is because he
knows that his former society is chained by an x amount of years of control and
dominance, he finally found out that when something is for the good of all man it means
for the good of the people so long as it fits into the parameters of the previous life style
and does not change it dramatically. The theme of the novel is apparent on almost every
page and adheres to one thing that in a society, to have what one might refer to as a good
society, you can not have a communistic style of life and even if you try to do it so sooner
or later their will be people who stand up against their rulers and start a revolution. It is
