Working with children and adolescent bring its own set of difficulties to overcome. Children may not always understand why or what is being performed. In this paper I am going to discuss the development of trust in pediatric nursing. Research done by Bricher explains the struggle that pursues working with the adolescent population and the importance of gaining and maintaining their trust. In a research study Bricher (1999) explains “Health professionals, as result of their roles, are seen by most adults as people to be trusted.
