In Greek mythology, many great names endured large amounts of suffering for small, meaningless mistakes. In Psyche’s case, she completed all of the requests made by Venus and in return Psyche was able to see Cupid again. This was all due to the doubt that Psyche received from her sisters.
This myth was told to show the everlasting love between a pair of mortals. It portrays the fact that there is a love that is pure and true. In addition, this myth also explains how/why the mulberry fruit has that deep red color.
The power of ignorance. Many Greek tales shows how individuals act upon emotions without knowing the whole situation. This is important since ignorance is a concept which has in this case caused to individuals to die.
