Trumponomics

Ever since his announcement to run for president, along with all his controversial statements about illegal immigrants, women and muslims some question his economical plans immensely. In his republican party debates, he has given a general outlook of his plan to cut back on taxes since he is for all extents and purposes a capitalist economist. Donald Trump’s policies appeal greatly to the Republican party activists who believe that the problem with America’s economy is too much tax, too much government intervention and too much free trade since he promises the cutting of taxes, reducing government spending, taxing imports and reducing bureaucracy. But how do the leftists and the rightists truly feel about Trump’s plan and whether or not it …show more content…
This is definitely the kind of blow that the USA does not need at this time. His entire economic standing is highly criticised by using the terms “Trumponomics” making a joke at the term used for former president Ronald Reagan's “Reaganomics” which also turned out to be an economic disaster. There is a serious bias about Trump’s immigration economic plan as sending the so-called “rapists” and threats to public safety out of the country so that they may be screened and let to come in again legally. This in turn, may provide job opportunity for the Americans from whom these jobs were stolen from.
Another article from the Politico showed how most slightly right wing economist reviewed Trump’s economic agenda. It did not bowed well with them either. If Trump policies actually went into effect, these economists say, prices for goods lower-income Americans depend on could soar and a depleted low-end labor force could trigger a major downturn. They also are reported to saying that pushing 11 million illegal immigrants out of the country would hurt the very people Trump is trying to win the favor of. There would be severe depression due to the loss of many jobs and push the economy down an even steeper

Well, I guess I'll just sit here and see how the next four years play out. I think it's pretty safe to say that AHA is gone and that Trump will nominate at least one new SC judge. Currently, we have three judges that are over 75 years old, two of which are over 80. Plus one vacancy. That could amount to an incredible shift in the Courts balance of power.…

This is a clear indication of neoliberalism and neoconservatism at play in Harper’s economic vision. A possibility of Harper being more economically neoconservative arises through his policy of “family tax cut” (Geddes, 2015, section “Taxes,” para. 1) which follows the social conservative idea of income splitting, yet Harper does not maintain the neoconservative spending restraint expected of a “free-market-orientated” (section “Spending,” para. 1) state that primarily controls the spending of security. For instance, the Harper government approved a bailout worth nine billion dollars of General Motors and Chrysler during the 2009 recession and injected $53-billion in the New Building Plan (Geddes, 2015, section “Taxes,” para. 1). Moreover,…

WOOSTER — A meeting with U.S. House Republicans and Vice President-elect Mike Pence has two area congressmen feeling upbeat about the new administration’s priorities. Republicans Bob Gibbs (Lakeville) and Jim Renacci (Wadsworth) were among those attending a meeting with Pence, who said President-elect Donald Trump wants to make sure his administration keeps its promises made to Americans during the presidential campaign. “It was a good meeting,” said Gibbs, whose 7th Congressional District includes all or parts of Holmes, Ashland, Medina, Tuscarawas, Stark, Lorain, Huron, Richland, Holmes, Knox and Coshocton. “It is an aggressive agenda, and I think the No. 1 thing is that we will keep our promises.” “The most important thing is Vice President-elect…

This has an impact on the U.S. because many immigrants live here with there families and many relationships have been made. If this plan follows through many people could get angry and many conflicts could occur. I think to solve this problem people need to stand up to Trump and tell him the complications of the situation, and what the outcome could come to. Hopefully, someone would be able to change his mind.…

It has now been one year during Trump’s time in presidency, and it would seem as though that his administration has yet to hit any of the big milestones that promised during their campaign. While they did gain some small victories in the past, it does not seem as though they would it big as of now. Even so, they still face nonstop backlash towards their approach to our government’s lawmaking and policymaking ideals. And yet, they will still continue to move forward, and stay on the same agenda, to which is the path of a businessman whom seeks out for a wealthy and stronger America. In fact, this is quite similar to what our previous president, known as Richard Reagan, had in mind as well.…

Robert Reich proposed a decent and well thought out argument on how to sustain a strong middle class. At the same time, I do not think the way he thinks we should sustain a strong middle class is the best entirely. He is a little biased in his way of thinking which is strictly democratic policies, where I tend to disagree with. He understands global economics, but does his understanding cause financial success for american workers. Some of his propositions are worthwhile like “Overturn Citizens United so that corporations can’t spend unlimited amounts of money on campaigns, and in return affect public policy and spending priorities” (Inequality for All video).…

In an interview, Donald John Trump, an American businessperson and a Republican candidate running for president, specified: “ The immigrants are bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, and they’re rapists. It’s coming from Mexico. It’s coming from the south and Latin America and it’s coming, probably, from the Middle East, but we don’t know because we have no protection.” As a result of the immigrants coming into America, Trump wants to create the immigration plan. If Trump’s plan is carried out, the Mexicans would be unauthorized to enter America because of the “great great wall,” possible recessions and riots would take place, and all illegal immigrants including the birthright citizens will be forced to leave America.…

He states that even though Trump might “shake up U.S. foreign policy,” we need free-trade and someone who will make changes that the US needs. Hanson argues that this election is not about “four more years of liberalism and a return of conservatism; it’s an effort to halt the fundamental transformation of the country.” Smaller Countries, Far Away Jay Nordlinger writes about NATO, a treaty of 28 countries protecting each other from various attacks.…

Trump believes that illegal immigration is destroying U.S. taxpayers, and he believes that neither Republicans nor Democrats are helping the situation. Republicans don’t do anything about illegal immigration because some of their business supporters want cheap labor. Democrats look at illegal immigrants as potential Democratic voters (135-136). Both Democrats and Republicans may have their reasons for illegal immigrants to stay, but Donald Trump thinks that the parties need to put America’s interests first and that illegal immigrants need to return from whence they came. Trump then continues to discuss that illegal immigrants are by definition, lawbreakers, and refers to them as “illegal aliens” due to the fact that illegal immigrants are often members or violent gangs.…

Recently, President Trump decided to repeal DACA or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival Program which was put into effect by former President Obama under an executive order. DACA resisted the deportation of illegal immigrants who entered the United States as children. President Trump justifies his decision because he believes that these “Dreamers” (term used for those under the protection of DACA) are a threat and burden on the United States economy. In addition, he states that the immigrants are taking all the jobs from the native-born American citizens. Moreover.…

The Case Against Reaganomics and Trumponomics One of the best ways to look at the future is to look at the past. When people fail to look at the past, they are doomed to repeat history, time and time again. The world has seen this with tyrants, and in the United States with taxes. Taxes are how the government makes money to support programs such as welfare, Medicaid and running the military. The more the government cuts taxes the worse things become.…

We have Americans out of work, but foreigners having more jobs than American citizen does not make sense. According to Donald Trump’s website, he wants to “put the needs of working people first” (“Immigration Reform”). This idea leads to Trump’s big plan of building a wall which is needed to prevent illegal immigration. Even though many may think building a wall is rude, I personally think it is just a clever way to prevent undocumented immigrants from entering; however, I do not agree with Trump’s plan to make Mexico pay for the wall. He believes that Mexico is taking advantage of us, but America has always been a country that is willing to help.…
