“I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her” (Evon). This is just one of the many outrageous statements that Donald Trump has made in his past. A man who makes statements like that has no business being the President of the United States. Trump simply doesn’t have the knowledge or experience needed to become president. Clinton has better policy ideas while Trump’s policies would be detrimental to the United States and even countries abroad. Trump has done so much wrong in his past. Donald Trump should not be our next president. Hillary Clinton would be the better choice. Perhaps the biggest difference between Trump and Clinton is their political experience and knowledge. Trump has showed that he either doesn’t understand …show more content…
A few policies that they agree on include improving relations with Cuba, fighting the Islamic State with a coalition of Arab and Western states, and using fair trade deals to increase U.S. jobs. On the other hand, there are many more policies they don’t agree on. Trump wants to increase the size of the Air Force, Army, Marines, and Navy, but Clinton wants to simply strengthen our alliances. Strengthening alliances is the better option since increasing the size of the military will certainly not help the debt that our country is in. In addition, having stronger alliances means that in a time when the United States needs support of other nations, we’ll have it instead of having taking on a threat alone. Trump’s stance on the environment doesn’t look good either. In Anthony Li’s article about global warming he says “The increased concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is attributable to human activities since WWII, leading to global warming, rising sea levels, and more frequent occurrences of extreme weather” (49). Scientists know that human actions are to blame for global warming. Even though global warming has been proven to be a problem, Trump would leave the Paris Accord. The Paris Accord is an agreement between over 190 countries to help reduce carbon emissions globally. Trump would also remove carbon emissions restrictions on U.S. power plants, increase fossil fuel production, and finish the Keystone XL pipeline. Trump would hasten the global warming issue that is upon us. Clinton will try to help fight global warming by staying in the Paris Accord, increasing investments in renewable energy, banning arctic drilling, and blocking the Keystone XL pipeline. With Hillary Clinton as president, the environment will be much better off. Not only will it be better off for just a few years, it could be better off for decades to come. Trump also plans to

Donald Trump should not be president for the year 2016. First of all, what amazingly beneficial things will he do for America? He is a republican; he cares not for America and all of her citizens but for money and if he becomes president America will be ruined. Trump is not a man with the experience of war, or being in charge of a whole country and all the people in it, but a man of business and economy. Also if he is elected for the leader of our country, and if he has the generosity, he could get all of the citizens of America out of debt.…

Since 1969, America has seen an extensive range of presidents in terms of style, personality, rhetoric and overall demeanor towards the American people. A good deal of these qualities overlap in candidates who have won the election. For example most president-elects have said they have strong family values, support a strong American military, and promise to be tough on crime. While these stances have been pitched differently over the years, they all share the same basic ethos; reassurance. It seems that the American electorate respond best to candidates who continually reassure the American people of the inevitability of America thriving under that particular leader’s guidance.…

Donald Trump is known to be a very well-known businessman and if he can run many businesses and a half great monetary value then why can't he run office?
