One of my favorite scenes in the movie “Trumbo”, was when Trumbo and Eddie had a tensed moment, since Eddie was at fault for the imprisonment of Trumbo and other people. At first, I had thought to myself that I wouldn’t have liked this film. But it turned out that it became one of my favorite films, if not, my favorite film of all time. Reasons that I liked it were because of the screenwriting was extremely well done, and you can really feel that you are there. The life lesson to stand up for the truth, and to not let anyone stand in your way. Finally, for the grit mindset that Trumbo was showing in the film. Refusing to pronounce he is not a communist, Trumbo was suffering, and would rather spend time in jail, than to lie and be a free man. Even though this is an important message, facts demonstrate that “Trumbo” had a domestic total gross of $7,857,741. This can genuinely be a life lesson to people who want to stand up for any reasons they believe that are true. Especially when a person, similar to Trumbo, stands up to a whole country. Even Trumbo himself believed to stand up for the truth, based on the tone of his voice, when he does a speech, reminiscing about the Hollywood Blacklist. This is why standing up for the truth is one of the main ideas in the movie. Furthermore, when Trumbo was shown in the bathroom, writing his scenes showed grit mindset. As a matter of fact, Trumbo even risked his family and didn't spend time with them, in order to work with his scripts.
