In the book In the Time of the butterflies there was a dictator named Rafael Trujillo. Trujillo was the main antagonist of the story and was a ruthless leader in the story. He can be compared to a lot of historic dictators throughout history because he has a lot of similarities with them and has done similar things that almost every dictators has done.
One of the dictators that Trujillo can be compared to is Adolf Hitler. Adolf Hitler was the leader of Nazi Germany and is the one of the most famous dictators throughout history. One of the biggest reasons why he is similar to Trujillo other than being dictators was how they both were good at getting people to do what they wanted.
