True Love Today was the happiest day of John’s life. He was smiling from ear to ear. There was a sense of nervous yet happy feelings inside of him. As he walked down the aisle, John began to start sweating bullets. The nervous feeling inside of John was in full effect. His heart was racing a 1,000 miles per minute. It felt as if his heart was going to explode. Hands began to sweat, hands started shaking, and then smiling-smiling as if something good was about to happen. The moment had arrived, waiting patiently at the podium for his beautiful bride to make her way to the room. When she entered the room all the anxiety and nervousness he seemed to have left. He still remembers the first day they met. The day was October 15, 2009. John was in college, walking the halls for the first time. John was nervous the entire day. As he walked the halls, John began to look around. He was amazed with his surroundings, everything around him was new to him. For the first day of school, he felt the feeling a baby has when they are brought into the world. John was the baby and the world around him was college. John was uncertain about the world he now would live in for 4 years. College was a whole new world for him. John was so amazed and at awe with everything. For a moment, he was in a state of total shock. The overwhelming feeling he had inside of him, shown on his face. The school was very huge. Through all the nerves running inside his body, he still manages to find his classroom. Trying to recuperate, taking a moment before he went into the room. Eventually, he entered the class and took a seat. Then, a tall, beautiful, and a young blonde lady walked into the room. The overwhelming feeling inside of him left. He became extremely happy yet nervous. He was smiling, smiling with his eyes, but not actually smiling. Hoping that she would seat next to him. His wish came true, she sat right next to him. This was his chance. She opened her mouth and spoke to him. He stared at anything but her. Trying to find anything to stare at like the wall or floor. If felt as if his body was going into shock. Maybe, he was shocked that such a beautiful girl as her would speak to him. He had a moment of total admiration for her. His heart stopped and he just knew in that moment, nothing else matter but her. He was so captivated with her beauty he couldn’t make out any words that he wanted to say to her. John opened his mouth to speak, but no sounds came out of his mouth. At that moment in time, he felt a knot in his stomach as if he had butterflies in his stomach. All John could do was smile at her.

George is regarded as a leader and paternal figure towards Lennie who is there to guide and protect him with his moral power. In the line: ‘they had walked in single file down the path”, we can see that Lennie is behind George following like a father and son. The reason I think that Steinbeck has used the phrase ‘single file’ is to create a visual image in the reader’s mind as they read to help them immediately imagine and have the precise perception of how the relationship between George and Lennie works. George was always the one in front who wanted to protect him and wants to be in control in other words: the leader, and Lennie: the follower. Additionally this signifies an unbalanced friendship, the opposite of what was mentioned in the…

The play Almost, Maine by John Cariani, published by Dramatists Play Service Inc, is crafted with interesting dynamics in mind. At first glance, this play might just seem like another generic work detailing about romantic endeavors, yet the true meaning lies deep in the ink bound pages, almost. Cariani writes, “there is no need to sentimentalize the material; just let it be what it is—a play about real people who are dealing with the toughest thing here is to deal with: love. Honor the ache and play the pain(but keep most of it covered)” (On Characterization, p. 77-78).…

As adaptive organisms, human beings naturally derive lessons from all instances that occur.
