True Electronics-Personal Narrative

Ten years ago I entered this company, True Electronics, as a clerk. As the years passed, I moved from that to a secretary, to an executive, now to the CEO. The previous CEO, Bob, retired the other day with a goodbye party that shook the building. I sat in the corner for the most part, with my mind on the upcoming promotion. Yesterday, I moved into my new office. Now, I am appointing one of the open spots on the board of advisors, since as the previous CEO retired one of his advisors resigned. I suspect he may have been a close supporter of Bob and didn’t like me very much. I also had to appoint new treasurer, probably for the same reason as the guy on the board of advisors. the next day I confronted Shannon. “What happened with last month’s material payment?” I demanded. She looked shocked for a second, but the look vanished as quickly as it had come. “I-I don’t know,” she replied. “Tell me the truth, I know what you did,” I snapped. Shannon stood up angrily. “I need more money, okay?” She yelled, “I have to earn it somehow!” “So you admit to stealing the money?” I asked. “I haven’t admitted anything yet!” Shannon yelled back. However, I could see it in her eyes. She did take it. I said, “If you just admit it, you’ll get off with a lighter punishment.” “Fine. The money is in my bank account, and no one else is involved with this, she responded. “I appreciate your honesty, but you’re fired as of this moment, and will possibly go to jail.” Shannon looked bewildered. “But you said my punishment would be lighter!” she said. “And I am right, now that you have confessed, you will get possibly a year of jail time, instead of 5 years,” I replied calmly. “Now. GET OUT OF THIS OFFICE!” I yelled. She left looking miserable. I hope that she can get on her feet somehow, but I should have my secretary call the police and have them pick Shannon
