I also have experience on a Guns Server called GtaMC (Not PvP related or anything but nonetheless experience) Why do you want to become staff?:…
Have you any past staff experiences? If any, then please describe(DO NOT post other server IP's)- I have not had any previous experience as being a staff member on any server. But there is a first time for everything! 4.…
Why do you want to be staff? : I feel that having this rank will show that I have the opportunity to be a helper on this server. Lots of people tend to need help when there is conflicts in chat. I would like to step in and help out with those situations. I don’t like it when people spam and chat flood, so most likely other people don’t want it either.…
To get an understanding of the significance of interscholastic competition at the collegiate level, simply turn on the television on a Saturday morning during college football. The sponsors, fans, pageantry, etc., is astronomical and continues to grow exponentially. Undoubtedly, college athletics is “big business” and is often viewed as a separate entity. Duke professor of public policy, economics and law, Charles T. Clotfelter, offers an interesting viewpoint on college athletics, stating faculty members’ blindness to the significance of big-time sports amounts to operating in a parallel universe, which is impossible, because the evidence is all around us and so commonplace (Etizen, 2012). Its difficulty to disagree with Clotfelter because sports are deeply rooted in our society.…
I identify greatly with the vision at Santa Clara University. Ever since I was young, I have dreamt of changing the world for the better. I hoped one day I could save the world from itself. To be the superhero that would swipe away the conflict and pain that is ever present in today’s media. While the dreams of saving the innocent from super villains has faded, the backbone and underlying foundation has not dissolved.…
As a freshman football player at Missouri Southern State University, I am fresh off the recruiting process. The recruiting process is an exact example of what Edmundson was speaking of when it comes to the business aspect of universities. From looking at other colleges and going on visits to different schools, I got a high dose of what it feels like to be a customer rather than a student. It felt like no matter where I went, the first thing I saw was the nicest facilities the school had to offer. Indoor practice facilities, locker rooms, recreational centers, dining halls, on campus housing and dorms, and even sites and hot spots around the town I could hang out at and meet people.…
Growing up in the United States the individualistic goals of our society are incredibly apparent. The whole premise of the American Dream is to do well for yourself, to raise your own family in your own home with your own car. But this dream that we have built for ourselves lacks depth and longevity. It is a simplistic, selfish, and senseless ambition. I believe, as human beings, we desire more than to help ourselves.…
At Xavier University we believe in the “All for One and One for All” philosophy; showing that camaraderie and equality among all are still possible. One way Xavier lives up to its support for students is through the one-year long Smooth Transition mentoring program. I served as a smooth transition mentor to three incoming first-year students during the 2016-2017 academic year. In order to ensure that they have a successful first year at Xavier, I informed them about the resources Xavier University provides, including the writing center, mathematics lab, tutoring services, Ohio link, and much more. I also advised them to make good decisions and form relationships with people who would motivate them to succeed.…
Everyone is given a name at birth that is unique and special to each individual. This title travels with them wherever they may go and whatever they may do. Malia Hi’ilani Mae Kema was the verbal gift given to me the day I was born. It is a name that I hold dear to my heart because it carries the love of my ancestors.…
Outside of my academic activities, I have a strong passion for sports and exercise. As a student-athlete for over 14 years, I have learned the value of hard-work, dedication, and determination. Establishing these invaluable attributes early on made it possible for me to become an NCAA Division III lacrosse athlete. Sports dramatically shaped the person I am today and taught me how to step to work in unison with my teammates to achieve a common goal and simultaneously step up as a leader.…
The University of Miami Athletically and educationally focused, The University of Miami is an enriching, enjoyable, and rigorous school where students can set their own learning path to success. The school not only has some of the best sports teams, but also terrific team spirit. “Every home game the football team plays, during the fourth quarter everyone in the stands holds up four fingers awaring everyone on the other team that they own this quarter.” (Frances). No matter how busey the students are they all still find time to try as many clubs and organizations as they like.…
Students that have been privileged with an athletic scholarship to play in collegiate sports have to understand that it is not a profession but a linkage to develop contacts with influencers and gatekeepers that will impact their future success into the national leagues or other areas of interest. These student athletes should not be concerned with receiving an annual salary or monthly stipend but focused on the most important component of obtaining a higher education which is to achieve academic success in a sound environment and develop professional skills to become an informed, efficient graduate and integrating those educational experiences into their profession as they make the transition after graduation. Any athletic student given…
#FindWhatMovesYou is the motto that Mr. Christian Obando, Coordinator of Sport Clubs, within Campus Rec for Florida State abides by as he interacts with his diverse student body. The first day that I shadowed Mr. Obando, he had a very relaxed, confident, and positive demeanor that quickly made me realize the leadership persona that his peers seen in him. He was very interactive with me as we talked about his role in Campus Rec. Christian walked me through a day in the life of a Coordinator for sport clubs and explained the intricacies of the organization. As the conversation progressed amongst us, I began to see how structured and team oriented Campus rec is.…
