Get Down And Dirty At The Truck Yard In Dallas

Say you're visiting Dallas and the weather is fair, not too humid but warm enough to enjoy a cold light beer outside. Perhaps you've already crossed off the Ft. Worth Stockyards and it's too early in the day to hit that trendy bar in Addison. While Big D doesn't have outdoor amenities link the West Coast, you could easily live large like a local by heading to the Truck Yard off of Greenville Ave. For The Hungry And Hip
Despite what the name implies this isn't a social gathering of big bellied truckers where one would expect cut off flannel sleeves but rather a hip hangout minus the obnoxious beards and twirled mustaches. The Truck Yard is a lot of land which probably used to be a couple of low income houses that have been leveled and zoned for outdoor enjoyment and food truck cuisine. Welcome are all foodies, motorcycle riders, scooter enthusiasts, local music supporters, or anyone looking for a midday adventure.

Of course there's a full service bar to the left complete with local brews on tap as well as fresh mojitos (see above) and margaritas with an attached ice cream parlor (yes, a bar with ice cream). Opt for something light as the summer sun will make dark beers taste a bit too thick to enjoy, but if the climate is cool take part in Grapevine’s own English Brown Ale. The outdoor bar is open to the dining area for easy beer run service. To merit the title Truck Yard, there is an assortment of tables crafted from salvaged flat beds, wooden picnic tables, and other various metal works minus the tetanus. There is even an adult treehouse that functions as a bar with an exquisite view of the entire establishment (see above). On top a gravel lot this outdoor venue offers a great afternoon delight that is mostly free of charge; but some events including most of those at night charge a fee of 20 USD at the
