Truce and honor
A story of deceit, love, and conflict. I-An overview of the story The story happens in Medieval Europe, in Kingdoms that resembles Medieval England and Sweden. The true historical context is the different conflicts existing between different Kingdoms in England, during that time. Here, apart from these conflicts you also have internal infightings between powerful families leaving in that land. They are fighting, for influence, for land and for a way to gain the King’s acknowledgment.
The story revolves around 2 families, the house of Hedgeknorey and another one known as the house of Gordon. The first house, which origins are ambiguous is very popular in the land, the head of the family

-Lady Daka: After the demise of the King of the Fjord territory, many of the people of this area settled in the Northern Kingdom. Mainly warriors and their families. Lady Daka is known to use magic to accompany warriors during battle. The legend is that she anticipated the demise of the fjord territory after being struck in the face by the King.
-Ansgar: The great, tall, and good looking warrior of the story. He is a pagan, but a great warrior. He falls in love with Rose Gordon, and looks for ways to please and seduce her. He comes from the Fjord

III-The Plot Helen’s wishes her son Ayland to take the throne one day. She will push her brother to slowly make mistakes that will lead him to either give up the throne and end up being imprisoned or getting killed by one of his allies. The Duke of the Northern Kingdom, her cousin has the same ambition, but with his son being gay he finds it very difficult for him to have an heir and perpetuate his name and legacy throughout history. Duke Gordon will have to avoid many traps coming from his cousin. Both will try to get rid of one another, or weaken one another by attempting to harm a family member. The Duke’s weakness is his son’s homosexuality, which will be revealed, but who will reveal it? And how many allies outside of the castle in the Northern land, does Helen have? Rose meets Ansgar for the first time, but her uncle the King also has an eye on her and wishes to make her one of his concubine. Will Rose seize the opportunity and sleep with her uncle and join the game of power and
