Trophy hunting should be banned for many of the following reasons. You usually hunt for the oldest male or the one that is the head of the group.That leaves every other animal in the group fighting to restore order in the herd and trying to become the alpha male. Which could quite possibly never happen again. Plus it would also lead to many fights in the herd to go for the leading role.
It should also be banned because the money from trophy hunting has no positive effect on conservation efforts. It is going to put every animal in extinction risk including the dodo bird which did become extinct. African lions are declining at an alarming rate, and the most recent study shows that in countries where trophy hunting is allowed, lion populations
