The Utilitarianism theory is one I’m familiar with, but the week one module has explained it in a better way with the incorporation of the trolley dilemma. The objective of utilitarian morals is to advance the best joy for the best number. This theory was best put to use in the trolley dilemma. In the trolley dilemma where you had to kill 1 to save 4 exemplified the bases of what a Utilitarianism approach is.

Moral reasoning is a cognitive procedure with the target of figuring out if a thought is correct or wrong (Saunders, 2015, p. 1-20). I had a vague understanding of moral reasoning, but know with better understanding I can think much better and logically. I feel that moral reasoning helps people utilise their thinking to an optimal level.
My experience where I had to use moral reasoning was when, a friend wanted lift a from the city to his house, which was the complete opposite direction from my house, to get a clear picture I live in the north side and he lives in the south side. My moral compass was to give him a lift, all though it wasted time it was the right thing to do.
The modules this week brought some very interesting theories. The consequentialist theory of egoism was very intriguing. People that have big egos are hard to deal with and it’s often hard to understand why they act they way they do. This module helped me understand, that there are two type of egoism, one how are motived with their own self-interest and the other people Impersonal egoists (everyone should follow his or her long-term interests). The other fascinating point made in this module was psychological egoism and how it referred when individuals help other people, they do as such eventually due to the individual regale that they themselves hope to
