Trojan War Research Paper

The Trojan War was a war fought between Troy and ancient Greece. The started up after the queen of Sparta was kidnapped by the Trojan prince named Paris. The king of Sparta sent his brother named Agamemnon on a journey to get the queen back. On the way Agamemnon was joined and assisted by Achilles, Odysseus, Nestor, and Ajax, these were all Greek heros. A fleet of about 1,000 ships joined them too. They went across Aegean sea and landed in Asia Minor, to get back the queen from the Trojans. The people of Greece tried to get the queen from various battles. During these the Trojan prince died, and Achilles. These battles lasted for around ten years until the Greek retreated. When they left they left behind a big wooden horse. They had to decide if they wanted to pull it into the city or not. They decided to bring the horse into the city. Once night came upon Troy the horse opened up and the group of soldiers came rushing out. They raided the city and took the queen back. The Greek warriors made their way back home. It took them around ten years! Most people know about the Trojan War, especially about the Trojan Horse. In Troy it is said that the queen married two men there. But they died when they were fighting in the war. The queen returned to Sparta to rule with her husband. After a while she moved to an island called Rhodes where a widow hung her. The trojan war was a dangerous time. Now you know more about the heros and people who fought in the
