He ran at top speed. It was bounding behind him. The world shook as if an earthquake was having a spasm. The grass below his shoes crunched as the wind blew by his face. He was the only hope. If he gave up, then he would be surrendering the world to the devil. The field seemed to extend forth to the end of existence as he was chased. It would never stop. It never got tired. It had been an ambush. It looked like a small disturbance, something that he could easily take care of. One or two, too easy for him. This one was different. This one stood taller than a lamp post, and went faster than a car. That’s when he knew that he really had to run this time. So he did. And that’s where he was now. The end of the cave was not visible, even with his amazing eyes. He thought for a minute before he realised. It was a trap.
“Hello, Tristen,” a disgusting voice said behind him. Tristen turned around to find the leader of all evil, Lucifer, the devil. Satan. Tristen stood for a moment. He had never come face to face with Satan in all of his years fighting against his demons. Now he was just inches away for the most powerful evil that ever, and will ever exist.
“Did I startle you? Maybe not, you looked for something here and now you have found me.” Satan seemed to want Tristen to respond. He could feel Satan’s power begging him to try to say something clever or bold in response. Tristen would be giving into the dark power. Just one cocky sentence could end all chances for the light to keep balance on the earth. It would take full control of his body. It would put out the light inside him.
“No,” Tristen said.
“No? No what?” a hint of anger in his voice suggested to Tristen that he was starting to get tired of this little game that they were playing. Soon enough, the creatures would come and take hold of him, and then Satan would take his power. There was no way out. No
