Trip to Hundred Islands

In the summer of my third grade, when I was eight years old, I remembered when my parents told me that we were going to take a trip to Hundred Islands National Park in Pangasinan, Philippines. I said “ Are you being serious?” I was shocked, but excited when they told me. I couldn’t sleep that night, I was too hyped and thrilled. I thought it was quite spontaneous of them to decided to go to this trip since they were so occupied with work. The night before, I researched about the park and saw many wonderful things said about it. It is one of the most beautiful and visited destinations in the Philippines and like the rest of the country, the water is an extraordinary hue of blue-green and it holds magnificent coral reefs.

I jumped out of bed ready to go. Though I had barely slept the night before, due to my excitement, I was incredibly energetic that morning. Then, I woke up my brother, got dressed and made my bed. I went downstairs and saw my mom packing all the food, while my dad was putting bags in the car. I gave my dad me and my brother’s luggage. Mom yelled from the kitchen, “All good! Let’s go!” and so we all got inside the car. It was about ten am, we better leave if we want to make it there by early noon. After two hours of singing and laughing in the car, I got tired and slept. My dad thought it would be funny if he blasted music to wake all of us up, of course, I was startled and woke up instantly. We got out of the car and it was almost four in the afternoon. I saw a kubo, which is a small cottage, and the beach few miles further, it was absolutely stunning. We all went inside and unpacked our luggages. We headed out to eat and found an amazing restaurant where they served the most delicious and mouth-watering dishes. That night, we decided to take a stroll on the beach. I watched the waves softly crash against the rocks and smiled at the sound the waves were …show more content…
Joseph then we ate at a restaurant overlooking the beach. The cool wind and waves crashing, as I said before was my favorite sound, created the ideal setting. We strolled the city one last time before we head back. The stroll was almost unbearable because my thighs were burning because of the sand that were still on my legs scratched when I tried to walk. Despite the feeling of my burning legs, this trip couldn’t be more perfect. It created the best and most memorable experiences I had when I was a child and I wish to visit there
