In 2012 some of my family and I went to the Smokie Mountains in Tennessee. Since it was at the end of my family's trip we drove from Orlando Florida to the Smokie Mountains which is roughly a 10 hour drive. May I Remind you this is before I had any electronics. When we finally got to the cabin it took us four tries to get up the driveway. When we did we went in the cabin and saw It was BEAUTIFUL! My parents got up stairs my aunt (to be) and uncle were on the main floor and the kids were shoved in the basement. When we were done looking around we went out to eat and to the supermarket. The next day we got up had bacon and eggs and drove to the train depot for a ride. When we got to the depot we bought our tickets and waited for the train to arrive. they where all the same hats, boots, clothes, and food. so when we got to a fudge shop we all got some and went to the cabin and packed to leave. that night we made spaghetti and had a pool tournament i got third to last place. Before we left we had breakfast and a got all the bags in the cars. After that we said goodbye and made sure we didn't forget anything. we we couldn't find something we searched the cabin for an hour.Even Truly we found it and got in our cars. When danna my uncle's girlfriend was getting in the car she dropped her phone and shattered it. Eventually we finally left the cabin and i was glad to go home but I missed my family. This trip changed my life because it's when I really connected with my cousin and and my aunt which is important to me now because they are getting married and have had a baby. This trip was also important to me because it was the first time i went rafting and the first time i went to the smoky mountains. The lesson I learned was you don't really know someone until you spend four days with them and you never know if you like something until you try

A couple days passed and we finally reached Alcove Springs. I looked across the field and saw tall green grass and small hills barely peeking at the top of them. Wildflowers grew everywhere and it looked so pretty blending in with all the nature. The sunset between the small hills was a wonderful sight. We had to find flat land so we could camp there for two nights.…

When i was younger i used to live at Christopher Lake I spent a lot of my childhood there. There's not much i remember from when i was young, But i remember meeting a guy named Drewe when i was 10 or 11, He was tall for his age with short brown hair and Hazel eyes. He sat next to me and he was pretty funny so we quickly became friends, as we got to know each other better we realized we liked pretty much the exact same things and got along very well. We lived fairly close to each other so we spent a lot of time back and forth between houses. He lived close to a lake and i was morso in the forest so we would switch houses every weekend and explore the area around our houses and hunt for rabbits until we had to go home.…

Over the summer, I went to the world’s oldest mountain range in The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I explored the mountains that shaped America’s History. I saw the sights and sounds of this beautiful, diverse park. It may not have the tallest mountains, but they offer beautiful views, and are home to many animals. Also, it is the most visited national park because of its closeness to many people in the United States.…

It showed me that there was much much more to see and to explore in the world, even if it seems like it’s all the same. Sure, you can say that a beach is a beach or every place has that, but a beach in California isn’t going to be the same as a beach in Florida or a beach in Brazil. It may not have white sand and sapphire waters, but the beach in Charleston will always be my first beach. The storms I experienced in Charleston will always be the origin point of my interest in bizarre weather. Charleston certainly isn’t New York or Los Angeles by any means of comparison, but it’s a place that gave me something more to see than the standard Midwest visuals I’m accustomed…

Homelessness Experiment I am not a good car-sleeper, so I knew this experiment was going to end bad from the beginning. An experience that changed my life was on May 19th, 2014, my brother’s death. It changed my life in a positive and negative way. You would think that death would devastate someone for the rest of their life, but my brother’s death actually changed my life. I’m not saying that his death didn’t have a negative effect on me, but it had more of a positive effect on me than anything. His death made me an introvert, think for myself, and see things differently.…
