Trip To Puerto Rico

Great Essays
When thinking back to my past, my favorite memory is my trip to Puerto Rico. I got to travel with some of my close friends and really cool adults. We were in Puerto Rico for seven days, and every single day I got to discover the culture and learn something new about the island and the people living on it. We were able to explore the nature there, try Puerto Rican foods, speak in Spanish, and tour historical sites.
We left at four in the morning to board our plane. When we arrived on the island, we rode a bus with an extremely sketchy driver. He drove very fast and made U-turns at least twice every hour. After the bus ride, we got to explore the city of Ponce where I found many cool souvenirs that I brought home to my family. Ponce was full

It was finally time to visit the beach which was right across from our hotel. The beach is my favorite place to be even on cold or rainy days. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. We got to the beach, and everything was perfect. The water was a clear blue, the sun was shining, and there was no one within a mile of us. Looking back on this unique trip, the beach was one of my favorite parts. There was no rushing around or lugging backpacks everywhere, it was just me and the beach. I reluctantly left the beach to eat at Platos Restaurant. There I tried my first nonalcoholic pina colada, and I was hooked for life. On the fourth day we had a once in a lifetime experience where we toured El Yunque National Forest. This is a rainforest inhabiting many different plant and animal species. The best part about the rainforest was the waterfall that was inside of it. After about a four mile hike we finally made it to the waterfall which was not far from fifty degrees when you get into the water. We only stayed in the water long enough to take some pictures because of how cold it was. After this, we got to swim in the warm water of Luquillo Beach, and then finally went back to our hotel after an exhausting day in the

One bright and sunny day when I was ten, my cousin Tasnim, older brother Rafeed, dad and I were on the New York subway on our way to Ellis Island, which is where the Statue of Liberty stands. The subway was old and rusty and smelled like dead rats. I was really excited to go because I had never been to the Statue of Liberty although the ride on the subway wasn’t really “the ride of my life” so to pass the awful time my dad gave us some gum to chew on. Since my brother and I didn’t know how to blow a bubble my cousin decided to teach us, and I succeeded on my first try, but my brother, well he didn’t do so well. On his last try he blew so hard like the big bad wolf, his gum landed right on my cousin’s face and boy was she furious, I could see it in her eyes, the anger and regret forever trying to teach my brother how to blow a bubble gum.…

Genuine Happiness While preparing for the trip to Isla Mujeres, Mexico, I coud not fathom being in a relaxing atmosphere. I could not wait to get away from the stress and every day things going on in my life. Being emotionally distraught by events taking place in my life such as my relationship of 5 years ending, grandpa passing away, and mom being in and out of the hospital from a previous surgery gone wrong, took a toll on me. Saddened by that all, I was physically exhausted from my daily routine of school, work, teaching kids in church, and babysitting every day. The thought of being on an island in Mexico, relaxing in the white sand and clear water was so moving for me.…

Have you ever tried something new then liked it that's what I did in Mexico. First, When I went to Mexico with my family I went swimming in the ocean near the beach at the resort. The water was really salty and had big waves. If you stood really still long the fish would start to surround you. My family saw a stingray in the water that started to move towards the people and that got me really paranoid about going into the water.…
