Triclosan in the water-when revealed to sunlight it becomes dioxins, which are just as lethal to animal as humans. Triclosan before it becomes dioxins are highly toxic to algae. Algae is a primary producer, therefore as it dies the ecosystem is compromised. With the decrease in algae, Carbon remains in the water suffocating the organisms who live in the water. Studies have shown that Triclosan effect the thyroid hormones’ of frogs. Triclosan studies found that low levels of triclosan in combination with thyroid hormones triggered rapid transformation of tadpoles into frogs. Studies also revealed that Triclosan blocks the tadpoles’ development into frogs at concentrations found in the current environment. As they continuously use the antibacterial it slowly seeps into their blood and other endocrine fluids a study was performed by CDC, it found that 75% of those tested, tested positive for triclosan. Triclosan absorbs thru the skin, mouth and intestines, killing bacteria in without a differentiation between beneficial bacteria and non-beneficial bacteria including those in our stomach essential in indigestion. Triclosan like in animal it affects the thyroid gland and the hormones it secretes. The hormones secreted from the thyroid are essential for they regulate metabolism and growth.
