Have you ever been so dedicated to something that you forget why you’re doing it? Well it is like being a part of a tribe, not sure if it is really who you are but it’s a family tradition. A tribe is equivalent to your life. The effort and commitment you put into your tribe takes over your life. Throughout my life I grew up belonging to many little tribes all formulating into my hobbies. When I was younger I used to do gymnastics, soccer, lacrosse, basketball, yoga, and ballet which helped develop into being Claire. Now I am sixteen and still figuring out who I want to be. Sometimes you don’t have a choice of what tribe you want to belong to. In my situations both my siblings belonged to this type of tribe so I was born into it. Belonging …show more content…
I am the youngest of three having an older brother Patrick (20) and an older sister Shannon (22) who belonged to these tribes throughout their lives. You play for about five years before you become an actual member of the Metro Lacrosse Club. When you reach fifth grade you are able to try out for this tribe. This tribe consists of an A and a B team. I have been on the A team since fifth grade. The reason why people belong to this tribe is to get committed for lacrosse. That means throughout your summers and falls you travel throughout the country and play lacrosse in front of hundreds of College coaches. In the end we all have the same …show more content…
The uniform consists of a jersey and a kilt but the practice attire is a pinnae and shorts. There are over hundreds of different lacrosse tribes so this helps distinct which tribe you belong to. Since Metro doesn’t have a set season because it is all year round, these uniforms are mandatory. During the practices you come up with a strategic plan which can involve many plays and particular vocabulary to beat the other tribes. Having a particular code or language helps unite your team and makes everyone on the same page throughout the
