Register to read the introduction… It is not just a popular love song by Haddaway. (Haddaway, 1992) Love can be defined as an emotion, sensation, attachment, and choice. When it comes to love there are three types, companionate, passionate, and compassionate. Companionate love refers to the feeling of intimacy with another when we care deeply for them, but not necessarily experience passion in their presence. In my opinion this is represented by a long lasting marriage, the passion may not always be there but you know that your partner has your back no matter what the situation. Passionate love refers to intense emotions, excitement and sexual desire; this is often in the courting stage. Some psychologists believe this stage of love only last a short time. Compassionate love involves feelings of mutual respect, trust and affection. Compassionate love is a lasting love; it is the story of the couple that has been married for many years and dies within hours of each other.
