Aislin woke up a little disoriented. She had gone to sleep early the previous night because she was developing a bad fever. She had finally finished moving her stuff out of her previous home. She didn’t feel much better, but at least the fever had subsided.
She strode towards the mirror. Groggily, she said to herself “ahh I feel terrible. I should call Lewis, he always has encouraging words- what did he used to say? Don’t be afraid of tough times because it gets you real friends-” she paused.
“... and real friends get you through tough times” she gasped. She looked to her left at a photo frame which was going to be put into storage of her and Trenton.
Trenton! Her mind was racing. All of a sudden, she remembered everything. She grabbed her phone and effortless dialed his number. The number she had used so many times before.
“Hello? Is this Aislin?” the voice on the other side asked.
“Yes, Trenton” Aislin gasped, out of breath. “I just remembered.”
“Remembered what?”
“I have a promise to keep.” She smiled.
