The Treaty of Versailles was unfair to Austria-Hungary because they were out-numbered because the allied powers could out vote them in anything they wanted. The reason Austria-Hungary did not have many votes because they were the aggressor and they lost the war. The allies threatened to go to war again if they refused the Treaty of Versailles. They thought it was unfair because they got blamed for the whole war because of the War Guilt Clause even when they thought Russia was to blame for starting the war. It is unfair that Germany had to sign the War Guilt Clause because they were not the only country that were to blame for the war beginning so they should not have to take all the blame for it at the end. Also Germany’s military power was reduced and was not allowed to let any troops in the Rhineland. This hurt Germany really bad it even left them powerless against small countries and they were not allowed to join the League of Nations which was pretty much an insult to them. Germany also didn’t like that they had to pay £6,600 million in reparations which was an insane amount of money even today it is a lot. Germany thought that this amount of money in reparations was designed to destroy and collapse there economy and to starve there people. Germany also didn’t like the Treaty of Versailles because they lost a lot of land, Alsace-Lorraine was given back to France, and their colonies were given to France and Britain which they felt were just used to make a huge empire. Germany also lost huge areas of Germany for Poland and was not allowed to unite with Austria.
