I remember the gut wrenching feeling in my stomach as my best friend and I approached the tallest and fastest roller coaster at Hershey Park, called SkyRush. I am not sure why I agreed to go on this roller coaster, considering most of the time at amusement parks I entertain myself with food, and miniature rides that stay level to the ground. Unlike me, my friend liked the rush and heart dropping feeling of being at the apex of a roller coaster and then dropping down at maximum speed. Personally, I preferred the ground, where I remained in full control of my own safety. Yet that afternoon I found myself standing in line for SkyRush.…

The Chills of Roller Coasters and Thrills of Love Amusement parks and weddings are not usually thought of as similar places or functions. The “I do’s” said at a wedding ceremony do not exactly correlate with the screams and thrills of an amusement park. But aside from all the obvious differences; the home of screams and thrills and the ultimate ceremony of love have more in common than meets the eye. Amusement parks are the home of roller coasters while weddings are a symbol of ultimate love, both roller coasters and love share similar qualities that are often overlooked. Riding a roller-coaster and falling in love with someone can easily be compared to one another and have many similarities such as the fears and risks, the feelings and emotions…

We arrived in the late afternoon after an eight hour drive, so we were too exhausted to check out the park that night. However, at night, before we went to sleep, we planned out our route through the park, making sure to hit everybody's favorite rides at the times when they would be least busy in order to avoid long lines. We also gave ourselves extra time to travel between each attraction and rests in between. The next day, we went through every ride efficiently, without any long delays from waiting in line. By planning everything out, we even had extra time to ride our favorite roller coasters multiple times and enjoy an acrobatic performance that we had not noticed the previous…
