Football is a very popular sport in America, it teaches people leadership, and it teaches people to work with others smoothly. It helps them to be active, but there are many dangers to football and some people don’t want to play. The athletes who play football have fully accepted the risks that accompany football. Parents know the risks of the sports and they let their children play. Some of the injuries in football could be fatal and some could be non-fatal.

There are many dangers of playing football. Every year there is an average of about 7.23% catastrophic head injuries. There is a 7.4% chance of getting a concussion, a 4.3% chance of head, neck, or face injuries. There is also 11.9% chance of torso or pelvis injuries, and 50.4% chance

If your equipment is broken, tell the coach, so you don’t get hurt while playing. A way of preventing injuries is to warm up before practicing or playing. Teaching kids to hit and tackle by not leading with their head will help in the future by decreasing the number of head injuries per year.

Concussion is a reference to traumatic brain injury. The symptoms of a concussion are headaches, dizziness, difficulty concentrating, irritability, and a sense that you don’t feel like yourself. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS has been known to more likely occur in former NFL players than the general public . The disease is a product of traumatic head injuries like concussions. The symptoms of ALS are weakening muscles, problems when speaking, and difficulty walking, like tripping over yourself.

Football is a very popular, but dangerous sport. If you aren’t careful there are many ways you could get hurt catastrophically. The high school, college, and NFL players have many injuries per year.
