“She’s the runt” said the lady, in a really comforting voice. It was kinda sketchy. Me and Casey went a picked up the innocent little puppy. “This is the one” Casey said hugging it tight to her face. My parents eyes glowed with love as we all passed her around. “She’s perfect!” My mom said. My dad did all the paperwork for her while Casey, my mom, and me took our brand new puppy outside. “She needs a name guys.” My mom said with a happy tone. Out of nowhere Casey quietly said, “Daisy.” We all looked at each other, and knew it was a perfect name for her. The car ride home was super quick since we had a brand new family member to get to know. As we pulled into our driveway, Daisy’s head perched up and took in the view of her new home. I opened my door of the car with Daisy in my hand. I put her on the ground, and she trotted to hide behind my dad. It was the cutest thing we had seen. “Come her Daisy, c’mon!” I said, as I started to run away. All of a sudden, Daisy’s eyes lit up and she began to chase me all around the front yard. We carried her inside and let her explore the house. She put her nose to work and sniffed down the entire house. It was already late from a full day of travel and it was time to introduce her to her crate for the first time. The whole family gathered in the once, pointless, lonely laundry room that now had its own sole purpose, to home the binder of our family. Daisy did not enjoy the crate, as any dog doesn’t but didn’t cause any trouble. She ate her food in her crate and played with some of her toys. That night, I laid in bed and just felt amazing since we finally got a dog after such a long journey. Every day when I would get home, I would walk past my mom in the laundry room, but it’s different now. The laundry room holds the heart
