Writing can be meditative for those who’ve undergone traumatic experiences such as : break-up’s, death of a family member, sexual assault, bullying, natural disasters, etc.. According to research, men who recovered from research reached their turning points. By turning points, I’m referring to the moments where they seek professional treatment for their mental health issues. Counselors should recommend this method of writing therapy because according to research 23% of patients who write about their feelings are less likely to end up in a psychiatric hospital for mental illness. Another form of ‘writing’ corresponded to art. Art can be another form of a type of therapy involving writing because the patient is allowed to express the emotion or pain their feeling through a visualization. The participants had free will to choose whatever significant conflicts or or experiences that they have never written down. However, the participant wants to write is totally up to them which could make them feel highly comfortable. The process of writing removes both mental and physical stress, bringing you back to a sense of calmness and peace. The next time someone is feeling stressed, they should take twenty minutes to write down their thoughts and see how they feel afterwards. Drawing a simple picture and a sentence underneath can contribute big time towards the satisfaction of health
