Recycling in the United States has been a huge deal over the years. Like the passage states we the citizens of the US do have these green, blue, and black trash cans. Us average people dont always take into consideration the color of the trash can we just throw stuff in. However not everything we throw in is just trash. Most things for example food, such as apples, bananas, oranges, all these different fruits and vegetable help plants and other things grow. One of the main issues i can see would come from this proposal is the,"Trash Police." Being fined for a banana peel, or a simple piece of pizza would be absurd right? I myself find that i do this a few times a week, throwing the wrong items in the wrong bin. Why dont they say anything though? …show more content…
Recycling has been a big deal for many many years. Trash laws on the other hand could not possibly fix this problem alone. Police of the United States have the right to write tickets to citizens who throw their trash on the ground. Does this stop people? Absolutely not. Maybe this slows down the amount of landfill by five percent but has never stopped the issue. Im stating this because this is just the same as having Trash Enforcers. I believe having,"Trash Police," would possibly reduce our compose to recycle issue but also believe it would thicken the issue. "Going Green for Gatesburg," states they do not allow the dumping of contruction sites. All different resources could come from this. Wood, metal, alluminum, plastic, rubber. Either for a simple heater or a natural fuel for your

In No Impact Man, Colin Beavan discusses many important topics, one of which is about trash. This topic got my interest because we see it everywhere, Colin goes into detail and discusses a lot of facts about it. An interesting observation was made regarding the black color of trash bags, that the reason trash bags are black instead of transparent is because people do not or cannot deal with seeing what is inside of them. Another related topic that always gets my concerns is recycling our waste. There are a lot of people that don’t recycle and just don’t care.…

The GreenburgGoGreen Initiative is not such a bad idea. Think about it, millions of pounds of trash is dumped and picked up everyday from peoples houses. Yes, people recycle but that only reduces trash waste to a certain amount. If there was a way to reduce trash waste more, then why not try it? Of course it'll cost money, change always does, but think about the homeless people in other countries, such as India, who live around trash everyday.…

Trash are thrown away because they are not needed anymore, and people are lazy to wait until they find a trash to throw it away. Many don't think that it affects the environment because nothing has happened to them yet, but it actually does. According to Juan in his article, "How does Littering Affect the Environment", he said that littering damages the places where we live, work, and play. No one is doing much to prevent litter because they don't think highly of it, people are only paying fines if they are caught littering, but that is useless because people don't really get caught. The minimum fine for littering on roadways and highways is $400.…
