Trapped In the Ocean”

I sat in my room just thinking about how great life could of been if my mother wouldn’t have taken my brother and I ran. How stupid could she be? My dad was the greatest man on the planet! He did everything for us, he would always bend over backwards for us. I don’t understand how selfish my mom could be! She broke our family apart. It’s my 18th birthday, you have all the stupid kids screaming and just having the time of their while I’m just wishing this day was over. All these presents are ridiculous, who wants fuzzy socks for their birthday or a book that tells you “How Great it Gets From Here.” This is seriously the worst birthday of my life. After we eat the soupy ice cream cake my mom came towards me all smiley

We walked up to the hotel doors and where you could smell the sweet smell of sunscreen. You walk in and it felt like you were walking into heaven’s doors. It was so bright and there were beautiful pictures of the clear blue ocean, pictures of people surfing, there was a palm tree inside. It was such a beautiful sight! Molly and I ran up to our hotel room as soon as we got out key, threw everything out of our bags so we could find out bikinis and head to the …show more content…
The salt water made me scream with pain as it filled the cut on my leg. I started looking every direction to see if there was another rock that held Molly upon it. I looked and I looked then finally I saw another rock.I started kicking my leg and moving my arms towards it, but I just couldn’t… My left leg wouldn’t move and I was just too sore and to tired, my body was aching was too bad and I was afraid that the waves would catch me again and this time never lets me free. I just floated there wondering what to do then suddenly I saw something and I couldn’t believe my eyes. “MOLLY!” I screamed, that has to be her. Who else would have a lime green and a bright pink bikini on? I knew that I had to get over there, but I didn’t know how. Then suddenly I saw the most amazing thing. A surfboard floating by, that’s what I need to get to Molly. I carefully reached for the board. I finally got it. I placed my body upon the board and waited for the next big wave to come and carry me to Molly. The wave carried me next to the rock where I could see blood everywhere. I used my arms to crawl over to where Molly was, she looked so lifeless, her body was cold, her plum red lips were all dried and blue, her sunshine blonde hair was all matted with blood. I slowly placed her body upon the board, I knew that I had to try and swim us to shore. I just didn’t know exactly how, my mother was so good at figuring things

We came together with my father’s family, the Pogwizd’s, at (put the name of land here when you remember). (Name of land again) was like our little home away from home with it smelled of pine trees. Behind that lurked smoke from a distant bonfire up behind the house with freshly caught salmon grilling over the nearby flames. Cherries, huckleberries, and blackcaps coated the roads and hiking paths near the lake and everything vibrated with the buzz of hummingbirds and bees.…

Trampolines, everyone loves them, today was not the case. It was more like a bounce, fly, fall, and cry. Kids normally say bouncing “funness”, I said, bouncing “dumbness”. A nice way to start out my childhood. It was about ten years ago, when I was three, when I came to realize that I had to be more careful. Since I was two years old, until I was five, I took dance lessons. At the studio, there were multiple classes for different levels and for different styles of dance; every year every dance class in the studio would get together and have a recital. It was the day of the recital, and I was more than ready to perform.…

The next morning, I saw the newspaper while I was eating breakfast. On the front page, there was a story about a young boy who saved a woman’s life. She was going to walk into her house and end herself, but he smiled and waved at her from across the street. He ran over to her and asked her how her day was, in a completely mundane conversation, which led to her talking to him for hours. His mere existence on that day and in that place changed her whole perspective, resulting in her deciding to spare her life for the hope that she could help others like her.…

When we got there, I was immediately in love with the beach. Time seemed to stop, and all I could take in was the cold of the water around my ankles, and the exciting fact that I was actually there. We all ran to the shore and I slowly dipped my toe into the water, smiled at my mom, and leaped into the the blue waves.…

The Last Day Sweat was gleaming off my face as I finished lifting our couch into my mother’s van. It was a familiar action, we has always been moving around. We had held many houses for rent, each for one year at a time. We never stayed anywhere for long, presumably because nobody liked renting to single mothers with five kids. We were always drifters, seeking houses for rent and never having a permanent situation.…
