I would like to be a part of the Honors Program at Colorado State University, because I have a passion to learn. I push myself to put all of my efforts into everything I do. I have this ache, more like a need to learn new things. My perspective, as well is unique compared to the average person. I look at the three sides of a story, the factual side, my side, and the other party's side, this helps to make sure that you are almost never being biased on any matter at hand. The biggest passion that I have in my life, is helping animals in anyway humanly possible. A quote by the Nuxalk Nation clearly states that “We must protect the forests for those who cannot speak for themselves, such as the birds, animals, fish, and trees.” This has always stuck …show more content…
When living in Texas, I did the Trap Neuter Return program, where you catch feral cats, and you go to the vet specified where you get the cats fixed, free of charge, after they’re fixed, you bring them back to where you got them, or relocate them. My favorite part about this was that, you are helping to reduce the number of unwanted and feral cats in the area. Even while being at school, I’ve offered my time to my community, by joining Key Club. This club taught me many things. One thing that it taught me was that always be thankful for what you have, and never dwell on what you don’t have. I learned this, when we were serving breakfast at a church one morning, and one man could not afford to pay for it, so I paid for it myself, and gave him a plate of food. In this club, we also spent countless Saturday’s cleaning up trash from local parks, cemeteries, and neighborhoods. From all of this, my main goal is to eventually become an exotic veterinary surgeon. Overall, these experiences have made me step up and become a great leader, and to push on no matter what

We spent a whole day at my school doing simple tasks such as garden cleaning, moving old furniture, covering graffiti, repainting old walls and stairwells. In the end, volunteering had a huge impact not only on me but also the community around me. It enabled me to connect with my community and make my school a better place. I realized that helping out with the simplest and smallest tasks can make a drastic difference in society. If we were to lose physical space, people would surrender their desire to obtain public good.…

WHY I WANT TO JOIN THE HONORS PROGRAM Alighting from a Boeing 747 jetliner on the JFK tarmac on Thursday evening, April 28, 2016, I walked into what could be called a new page in my life story—a new start. That was my first time on this side of the hemisphere. With little money, zero friends, one close relative and little to hold on to, I found myself leaning on only a thread of asset – my mind. Knowing this, I vowed to keep this God given asset alive and growing with all my soul and might, and what better way to do this than to identify with people of like passion, people who will add to me.…

My ultimate purpose for going to college is to build a stable educational foundation for myself. College will allow me to challenge myself in areas I would not be comfortable. This foundation will allow me to give back to my community and communities around the world in ways that would be highly effective. Growing up in Hartford, I always saw the importance of giving back to the community. Having tutors come to voluntarily help me with areas of knowledge I struggled with and being a person, who benefited from things such as the backpack program, opened my eyes at a young age.…

Change, a word which rolls off the tongue effortlessly, meaning, “ to make or become different,” a word everyone uses frequently if not daily. It is also quite short in it’s entirety, consisting of only 6 letters, “Do you have some change,” or “Did you finally change the oil in the car,?” are very common uses of the word. This is simply because we do not know the depths of the word. To use change to it’s fullest potential you must ask, “Are you the change you want to see?” One man, who fully understood change before mankind even tinkered with idea was…

So from this realization, I started doing things that would better myself as a person, as well as benefit the community. For example for the past three years in high school I have dedicated a couple hours a week to tutor underclassmen in mathematics. With my help in the past few years, several students have gotten the grades that they wanted. In addition to tutoring, I started an engineering club with a friend this year, our aim is to help students explore career paths and build interest in the role that engineering has in the world we live in. Seeing the little differences that I make in other people 's lives is what drives me to succeed today, because I know that if I am succeed in life, I will be able to help many more lives.…
