Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) has become one of the most notorious transnational gang. Is estimated that this gang operates worldwide with an estimate of 30,000 to 50,000 members (Marcovitz 30). Being a transnational gang is important to know how is structured and how members in this gang all contribute to the group. Since MS originated in Los Angeles during the Salvadorian civil war and started migrating or were being deported they began forming cliques. But besides that this gangs are organized differently globally but one thing they all have in common is that this gangs are organized by cliques and don't tend to have a clear leadership structure.
