Transitional Adulthood Research Paper

In the life course I’m located in the transitional adulthood stage. The text says that many young adults postpone their responsibilities by going to college. And that many live at home to live cheaply while building their career. It also says that we ease into responsibilities, I find all of this to be judgmental and partly wrong. Although this may be true for some people it’s not for all, now a days you have to go to college in order to survive on your own and pay the bills. I find transition adulthood to be the wrong stage for me, but you’d have to know my story to understand the reason I am the way that I am. I’m paying for college all on my own and yes I live between my parents’ home but it’s because I can’t afford schooling and a home of my own. I pay for all the bills that I can by myself and if I can’t afford something I simply don’t get it. The only reason I have a cell phone is because my family wants me to so my dad pays for it. Some families the adults will have to take on more than one jobs unless they are higher up in the company and make enough money. Going to college is more about responsibility and making enough money to survive on your own, some people still go to school not knowing what they want to do and will stay longer not ready to go out and get a job but that’s not how a lot of people are anymore.
