Making the transition from high school to college can be difficult. Personally, I have found the transition stressful, but manageable. I have adapted to college by learning how to study effectively for biology, use a planner to manage my time, and maintain my relationship with my boyfriend while keeping up with my grades. Furthermore, I use different colored pens for different assignments when I write in my planner to help me easily differentiate how many things I have to do on a given day. Using a planner has been effective in helping me keep track of my time. In addition to that, I also set numerous alarms on my phone for when I have to do a certain task that I could forget about. For example, I may set an alarm alerting me that I have an SI session in 30 minutes, or that I should start studying my biology notes at 7:30 p.m. Utilizing my phone for setting alarms allows me to keep track of time without having to remember when I have to do something. Being able to keep track of time will benefit me in accomplishing my academic goal of making A’s in my classes because I will be able to easily handle all of my assignments.
