Over the past couple months I have started researching the necessary steps needed to be eligible to work in Colorado. The biggest challenge I have come across is determining if I should sit for the NCLEX and get my license in Ohio then transfer it to Colorado or if I should wait and get my license in Colorado. I have still not found a definitive answer on the best approach, however, after researching and speaking with various people I believe that I have found the best way. The solution I have determined is that I will sit for the NCLEX and license in Ohio because I will be eligible to test faster then I will transfer my license in Colorado. Especially during the first year in my nursing career it is going to be very important that I am able to maintain this balance. I know that this is going to be a stressful time in my life therefore it will be important to have a healthy stress outlet. Fortunately, I have a wonderful support system at home that will help me through my first year and be there when I am feeling overwhelmed or stressed.
