“Change brings opportunity.” Nido Qubein once stated. Change is not always easy to adapt to, but with change new doors open to a fresh beginning. One of the biggest change in my life is transitioning from high school into college. There are many adjustments that I had to make, many challenging and exciting experiences, and the want to change something about myself as I progress through the college experience. Numerous adjustments had to be made during my transition from high school to college. In college I have more freedom. Therefore, I am more independent. I have to make my own decisions. I have to be more disciplined with my choices whether it being about academics or other activities. My eating habits also have to be adjusted. Now, I can eat as many healthy or unhealthy foods I want because my mother is not there to look out for me. Therefore, I must make sure that I eat something healthy every meal and not consume too much junk food. Also, I have to adapt to living with a roommate. I must respect their differences and living space. I have to learn to share my space with another person that I have never met before. I can no longer do the things I do at …show more content…
First, I want to change my procrastination. I plan to achieve this goal by getting myself on track by prioritizing what needs to be done for the day. I also plan to do a little bit of an assignment each day instead of doing it all at once, such as writing a paper or putting together a presentation. Second, I hope to become more active on and off campus. I want to become more involved, outgoing, and express myself more. Back in high school, I never really put myself out into the world because my high school barely offered any clubs or sports. I planned to achieve this by joining clubs that pertains to my interest. I also plan to approach others first instead of always waiting for someone to approach
